TYWLS Harlem Social Studies teacher Hannah Givertz spent her latest unit preparing her students for debate by using micro-routines. Hannah and her students regularly used Defend, Predict and Agree-Disagree micro-routines to practice debate subskills. Hannah's students annotated primary and secondary sources throughout the unit to understand multiple points of view on a variety of topics.
