Here is a quick guide for teachers to plan both synchronous and asynchronous reading approaches for remote learning. There are suggested reading routines that can be modeled in live sessions, that students can then use when reading on their own. Students can even audio or video record themselves using the routine steps to think out loud their interactions with the text. We have also included various sites where students can read texts online for free. We recommend providing multiple options for students to make reactions to what they are reading.
