Rhyming is an artistic technique that has been around since 10th century BC in Ancient China, and continues to surround us in many different forms. In our summer virtual workshop, educators had the chance to experience the RHYME micro-routine which uses the engaging act of rhyming to both introduce and review a new word. In addition, the teachers can explicitly teach students how to use this strategy on their own as a peer or independent study habit.
Watch the facilitation of this routine to get ideas about using rhyme with vocabulary.
