All students need various ways to remember words and the classroom can be a place to test out which method works best for each individual.

CHAH co-teachers Leah Werner-Evans and Steve Levy were looking for another vocabulary approach as they started the unit around the water cycle. Say It vocabulary micro-routine encourages students to vocalize the word as they are looking at a related image. The routine also pushes students to imagine where the word might be used in the real world.

Watch Leah and Steve walk their students through Say It and pay attention to their warm and caring instructional moves. Below the video, you will also find their vocabulary follow-up asynchronous task.
