TYWLS Harlem ELA teacher Emily Wylie wanted to begin comparing different comedians' stories in her humor unit. Emily used the adapted Silent Graffiti instructional routine with a shared google doc, where students made inferences and replied to their peers using the "comments" feature. During the routine, Emily could observe and provide immediate feedback and encouragement as the students engaged in their "silent" discussion.
