Our Routines
As you explore our website, you will find two types of routines: Micro-Routines and Instructional Routines.
Micro-Routines for information processing and synthesis. The micro-routines are shorter with no more than 3 steps and take approximately 3-8 minutes.
Our Micro-Routines are organized around 5 suggested use cases:
- Launching the School Year
- Develop Ideas with Peers
- Make Connections
- Focus on Evidence
- Vocabulary Retention
- Reflect on Learning
Instructional Routines for student-centered interactions that boost engagement and build independent thinking. The instructional routines generally include 4-6 steps and can be used as a longer classroom activity.
Our instructional routines are organized around three aims:
- Engagement into Reading & Writing
- Development of Discourse
- Increasing Vocabulary Retention
