The Individual Access Strategies is a searchable compilation of instructional, material and environmental strategies that can create curricular access for individual students. It also provides suggested testing accommodations. The tool adapts resources from the Pre-referral Intervention Manual - 3rd Edition, the guidance document developed by the NYS Education Department's Specifically Designed Instruction working group and Beech's "Accommodations: Assisting Students with Disabilities - A Guide for Educators". This tool is best used in conjunction with universally accessible units and lessons.
