CHAH Special Education teacher Faith Grabarz wanted an accessible way for students to review content for an end of unit exam in Living Environment. Adapting the In Here, Out There vocabulary routine, Faith used the concentric circles thinking map to prompt students to recall, use peer knowledge and make connections about their genetics unit. During the routine, Faith and her co-teacher observed increased student engagement, peer collaboration and creative connections. Check out Faith's adapted lesson slides below which include student samples from the routine.
