TYWLS Harlem Science teacher Melina Melendez wanted to review vocabulary terms that often confuse her students. Melina adapted our vocabulary routine Word Hunt Phase Two to revisit different types of variables. Phase Two of the routine involves students matching their learned words with different images and short texts or phrases. Then, students are given an opportunity to compare their matchings with their peers and listen to how they came to their own results. Watch Melina include a quick assessment at the end of the routine to see if the students understand the different variables.
