Some of these routines are intended for partner work, others for small group, and some are intended for use with a whole classroom.
Group learning routines are different from instructional routines in that they do not always contain a launch to describe the purpose of the routine and rarely include a reflection portion so that students name what they have learned. The group learning routines we use are also not content-specific so teachers in any subject area could use these routines.
