Which One Doesn't Belong is an instructional activity that uses MP3 "Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others." Emphasis is on the first part of the standard - construct viable arguments. Through the activity, students practice justifying their ideas using mathematical language. They learn that there is no one correct answer so long as their choice is supported with evidence.
This activity can be introduced in Unit 0 and used throughout the school year.
