This pre-assessment analysis sheet is meant to accompany the New Visions Global History Curriculum pre-assessments for 9th and 10th grade. The purpose of this sheet is to guide teachers in analyzing student work to help them determine the best next steps for students to improve their writing.

The purpose of this task is to assess students' writing skills in general, and specifically their ability to use documents to compose a well constructed response given a Regents-like prompt aligned to the Global History and Geography II exam, administered June 2019 onwards.
