If you do not have access to the assessments, please fill out the form linked here. 

You will need to provide your official school email address AND a Google email address. In some cases, these will be the same email account. You will only need to fill the form out once to gain access to all of the assessments and teacher materials in the curriculum.

After you fill out the form, you will receive notification that you have been added to a Google Group called "New Visions Social Studies Assessments Access." Once you receive that notification, you can access all of the assessments through the New Visions Social Studies Curriculum website, but you must be logged into the Google account you provided in the form to view the assessments.

Students will analyze the text of the 14 Points of Peace.

Students will analyze three documents from leaders amongst the African American community and their response to American Imperialism abroad. 

Students analyze a number of primary source documents related to the annexation of Hawaii and reflect on the historical circumstances surrounding the annexation. 

Students analyze President Woodrow Wilson's speech asking US congress for a declaration of war in 1917.  

Students will use evidence from the documents to analyze why America invaded Cuba in 1898. 

NYS Regents Style DBQ analyzing the following question and associated documents: 

Explain how a treaty is ratified in the United States.

Explain why Woodrow Wilson believed the League of Nations was critical to future peace.  

Explain two arguments made against ratifying the Treaty of Versailles and League of Nations.  

Describe what ultimately happened to the Treaty of Versailles.  

Students will analyze the social, political, and economic effects of World War 1 and describe the five main causes of US participation in World War 1. 

An activity to characterize the impact of World War I on women, immigrants, African Americans; as well as the impact of World War 1 on American society including the issuance of bonds, rations, limits on Civil Liberties, the Red Scare, and the Military Draft. 

Students will analyze a poem, a map, and two primary source documents to understand the causes and effects of the Great Migration.
